The Garbers are an Air Force family who have lived together all over the United States. With two children, two dogs (Lola & Mia), and three chickens (Penny V, Quiche-a, & Breadloaf), their days go by quickly — but there’s no shortage of adventures.
Patrick
Patrick hails from southwest Colorado and holds degrees in Transportation Management and Human Resource Management. Patrick enlisted in the Air Force in 2004. He spent five years in the role of an Air Force First Sergeant before returning to his primary career field in the Logistics Readiness Squadrons in 2021. His passions include the outdoors, problem solving, and helping people.
Cassie
Cassie grew up in Pennsylvania and has a Bachelors in Mass Communication / Marketing from King’s College. Most recently, she obtained a graduate certificate in Nutrition Science for Communications Professionals from Tufts University. Currently, she provides marketing services and creative content to businesses via her company: Open Door Content Creation. She served as the Scholarship Chairperson (’18-’20) for the GFAFB Spouses’ Club Board where she got to focus on helping military spouses and dependents pursue their educational endeavors. She has also volunteered as a Key Spouse for a number of squadrons. One of Cassie’s passions is yoga, and she completed yoga teacher training (200-hour) in 2012. She has found great joy in pairing children and yoga, and has taught yoga at gyms and on installations across the country — as well as offered “storytime yoga” to military children.
When they’re not writing books together, you can find the Garbers hanging out with their dogs, homeschooling, camping, hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, fishing, or exploring national and state parks.
